October 2026
This release expands repository support for Nuxeo alongside the Hyland Content Innovation Cloud (CIC) and OnBase, simplifies document viewing through the introduction of the Content Innovation Cloud (CIC) Viewer, and improves the content management experience within Salesforce.
The following components are included in this month’s release:
New Features
- Access Nuxeo content through Content Federation Services
You can now connect Nuxeo as a federated content source in Hyland for Salesforce through Content Federation Services. Once configured, Nuxeo content is available alongside content from CIC and OnBase, without moving or duplicating the source files.
This gives you access to content from all three supported repositories within Salesforce, so you can work with that content while the source files remain in their existing repositories. - View federated content and associated metadata using the CIC Viewer
You can now view documents and their associated metadata from CIC, OnBase, and Nuxeo directly in Salesforce using the cloud-based CIC Viewer. The CIC Viewer replaces Quick Access and Hx Viewer, so you don’t need to install a separate viewer.
This consistent viewing experience brings documents and their context together, helping you review content without switching tools or opening the source repository. - Find, retrieve, and upload content more easily through a redesigned interface
Hyland for Salesforce includes a redesigned end-user interface for content retrieval and document upload to be more intuitive and efficient.- Find the right query: Available queries are easier to find, and queries that require you to enter search criteria are clearly identified.
- Adjust your search: Active queries appear as removable selections, so you can change your search without starting over.
- Manage files before uploading: You can add or remove files easily before submission, with clearer information about upload requirements and status.
These changes reduce the steps needed to locate the right document and streamline the upload process, helping you spend less time managing content and more time on the work that matters.
August 2026
Hyland for Salesforce now supports content stored in OnBase in addition to content stored in Hyland Content Innovation Cloud. This release adds OnBase support through Content Federation Services (CFS) and introduces query-based options for retrieving content that is not tied to a single Salesforce record.
The following features are included in August's release:
New Features
- Access OnBase content from Hyland for Salesforce
You can now securely access, view, capture, and store OnBase content using Hyland for Salesforce. This integration lets you work with content governed and retained in OnBase without leaving Salesforce, without duplicating files, and with less context switching. - Configure flexible query definitions for content retrieval
As a system administrator, you can now configure query definitions in Hyland for Salesforce that support advanced retrieval scenarios. Query definitions control how Hyland for Salesforce retrieves content and support business requirements that do not depend on a fixed relationship between a Salesforce record and its content. - Retrieve content across records with user-defined queries
Hyland for Salesforce now supports user-defined queries that retrieve content beyond files directly related to the current Salesforce record. This capability provides access to relevant information for business processes that span multiple records, objects, or repositories. - View results from multiple queries together
You can now run multiple queries and view their results together in a single results experience. Combining queries that use different criteria helps you locate relevant content faster and reduces the need to run separate searches. - Manage OnBase connections from System Configurations
Hyland for Salesforce now includes a System Configurations page where system administrators can manage and configure CFS connections to OnBase. This framework and a centralized experience provide a consistent and scalable foundation for configuring future repository integrations - Map repository sources to retrieval and import components
As a system administrator, you can now map administrator-defined repository sources to Retrieval and Import dialogs when their corresponding Lightning Web Components are added on Salesforce page layouts. This enhancement lets you tailor repository interactions and content experiences to specific business processes without customization.
