Alfresco Community Edition with Elastic-search?

I have started working on Alfresco community edition some months back. I have integrated Alfresco with Java-based web application using CMIS client. I have one query related to SOLR and elasticsearch.

I would like to use ELASTIC SEARCH for document indexing instead of inbuild SOLR implementation, as elastic latest version provides integration with Apache Tika. I have searched in community blogs. I have not found content related to elastic search on content services. I read that Elastic is used in Process Services, but not in Content services.

Can we integrate Elastic search with Alfresco content services (community edition)?

There is no support for ElasticSearch in Alfresco.

Some people from the Community contributed some integrations based in Apache Manifold, like

Is there any reason why ElasticSearch is not used in Alfresco content services but used in Process Services?

Is it due to architectural differences between SOLR6 and ELASTIC SEARCH?
