IF someone have the read-only permission of a subfolder in repositories of Alfresco, how to access this folder without the read or write permission of the parent folder.
There is an option in alfresco for inheriting parent permission.You can mark it as false.You will find it under manage-permission page.
If user don't have read permission (any permission) on parent folder and want to search child folder (on which user has read permission), I don't think you will be able to search it using same user.
I don't know business usecase here but you may give it a try with user having at least read permission parent and child folder both (or may be with admin user).

You will not be able to browse the folder by navigating through the tree parents, but you will find it if you search for it (by name or properties). So you could add it to your „favourites“, use a stored query or a link to the folder in your gui - depends on your frontend...
