Is the setup of all of this from app.extensions.json file a requirement?

This is working fine, including through the extension file app.extensions.json. But, i'm talking about the columns of the files table, witch is configured in this section:
"documentList": { "files": [ ... ] }
The "problem" is that, apparently, there are no rules support to determine when the columns should be displayed, for example: only for type that have those properties.
I'll verify if it's possible through the adf-dynamic-column component too.
