How to configure Activiti Cloud 7 to use an on premise database?

We are using Activiti Cloud 7 (RC1).
We need to configure Activiti to use an on premis database (MSSQL Server) that is running outside of the cluster.
Is there a documentation available that describes the necessary steps to connect to such database and create Activiti tables in it?
