instead of creating a new bean with all the connection string, username and password, just wondering if there is a standard way to connect to activemq with spring framework in alfresco 6 module. maybe there is an existing bean that's already defined by alfresco that can be reuesd?

I'm not sure that you can extend the ActiveMQ events in ACS 6.x, something is possible to do but starting from ACS 7.x:
