When I try to run cmis query with my using order by with my custom text type proerty it gives me an error like Ordering is not support for abc:xyzProperty. In my content model I have defined this property in below way:

An Alfresco text property is orderable in CMIS if it's defined as:

Untokenized
Both untokenized and tokenized

By default, Alfresco text properties are defined only as tokenized.

I agree with everything Angel said, but I'll add that if you download the Chemistry CMIS Workbench, you can look at the content model and you can see which properties in types and aspects are marked as orderable.
