Performance issue on task complete

Hi,

In last week we have performance issiues in activiti task complete queries.

Finally We have found a clue on database side. We are using Oracle 10g and our searchs must be case insensitive.
So we put two script on database logon;

            execute immediate 'alter session set nls_sort = ''TURKISH_AI''';
            execute immediate 'alter session set nls_comp = ''linguistic''';

After this configuration activiti query execution times incerased almost 4 times.
Activiti database tables have nvarchar2 private keys. Problem might be here.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

i have wondered about the use of nvarchar2 in the activiti tables as well, it would be great if one of the devs could explain why this was actually chosen over varchar2.
