REST login problem

Im trying to login to activiti-rest from an html page, and I get the following error

Unsupported Media Type
The server is refusing to service the request because the entity of the request is in a format not supported by the requested resource for the requested method.

Any sugestions?

Hi,

The login REST service expects a JSON document with a userId and password.
Therefore a form post will not be sufficient.

Programatically I Can invoke the login service.

Now I want to invoke one service from the REST API, but I get the "Authentication is required" message.
I try invoking login service before and then another service, but the result is the same.

Besides I try to use credentials

DefaultHttpClient dhc = new DefaultHttpClient();
dhc.getCredentialsProvider().setCredentials(new AuthScope(AuthScope.ANY_HOST, AuthScope.ANY_PORT, AuthScope.ANY_REALM), new UsernamePasswordCredentials("kermit", "kermit"));
HttpGet hp = new HttpGet("http://localhost:7001/activiti-rest/service/deployments?start=0&size=10&sort=id&order=asc");

but it don't work either, same message, any other usefull advice?

Yes I had the same problem using the HTTPClient. But I got it working by using a BasicScheme, like:

Unfotunetly not working and got this exception :

org.activiti.engine.ActivitiException: no deployed process definition found with
id 'MyProcess:1:4448'

I checked in DB (ACT_RE_PROCDEF) and see that the process exists:
ID_ : MyProcess:1:4448

What is going wrong 😕

I don't really see the point of having the login service (/login). Since the authentication is required when we are invoking any service, what use case would use this /login service?

By the way, the authentication using Jersey Client API is done like that:

Are you using the same database in your rest-app as the one you are viewing?
