Disable User Options

Hello everyone!
I wanted to disable the user option (near admin console) where the user can change their preference home space such as company home, my home, my alfresco and guest home. Can anyone point me where and how to do it?
I have commented the following snippet in webclient.properties but it didn't work:

#title_edit_user_details=Edit User Details
#user_console=User Options

Hi Kevin,
Thank you very much for that immediate reply

but its still not working. i have only commented the above snippet in titlebar.jsp and also webclient.properties. Are there still files that needs to be edited aside from the two files stated above?
By the way, I only wanted to disable the general preferences (start location) not the user option itself (as a whole) because the user still needs to have access changing his password.

If you have correctly commented out the section then the action icon cannot appear - did you use JSP comments? <%– –%> and has the JSP been reloaded by TomCat?

You can modify the user console JSP itself if you want to hide certain functionality, look for users/user-console.jsp and comment out/remove the section:

again you will need to make sure the modified JSP is picked up by tomcat.
