alfresco notification service

rhofkens

Hello,

I would like to implement space or node based notification functionality. Example: a user can subscribe to a certain folder and gets updated via email when content is added/changed/deleted in this folder.

In the Wiki, I've found some documentation on the "Alfresco Subscription Manager" and "Alfresco Notification Service", but is in an very early draft stage.

Has anybody used ANS or AMS in practice? Examples?

best regards,

Roeland Hofkens.

We're interested in precisely that functionality. Did you find out anything further?

I second this,

Alfresco eMail notification service - for folders and files/documents.

I',m looking all over but couldn't found this email subscription feature like in eRoom or Sharepoint.

This is requested from users which will decide by them self which update notification for special documents they want to receive.

Also I change (Overall status) report automatically generated with new Information and Changes would be helpful.

cheers
Christian

Search the forums and notice that it can be done with some programming, which is a little too difficult for most of us..

ops:
On the other hand, if you're using a portal or a mailclient like for example zimbra you could play with the RSS-features of Alfresco which should give you something comparable to what you want by putting an appropriate rss-feed into your mailclient or portal?
Just my 2 pence..
