Is your content spread across Alfresco, Nuxeo and other repositories? Do you need one place where AI services can use all of it, without losing control of who can see what?
Join us for Tech Talk Live #183 to meet Hyland OpenArch, an open source (Apache 2.0), self-manageable data layer for AI. OpenArch collects unstructured content from many sources, stores metadata, chunks and vectors, and serves them to the AI services and agents you choose. It indexes content instead of copying it, and it mirrors the source permissions (ACLs), so every query returns only what the user is allowed to see. Search covers keyword, filtered and semantic (vector) queries through one API.
We start with a high-level view of OpenArch. Then we show what you can do with it: Alfresco and Nuxeo content in the same data layer, a live demo, and the generic process to build a connector for a new repository. We finish with the roadmap, and with a short update on the move of Alfresco artifacts to Cloudsmith.
Key Takeaways & What You Will Learn:
What OpenArch is: where it fits in the Hyland portfolio, and why it is open source.
How it works: how OpenArch stores content and vectors, and how it enforces source permissions at query time.
Any repository: the generic process to build a connector for a new source, from content and metadata flow to permission mapping and testing.
What comes next: the OpenArch roadmap.
Cloudsmith: what changes for Alfresco artifacts, and what to check in your Maven and Docker setup.
Bring your questions. If you are already working on AI search over your Alfresco content, come and share your experience.
