Did you miss TTL #182 Recording - Same Index, Different Machine: Alfresco Search Community vs Search Enterprise?
The recording and the slides are available!
Alfresco Community 26.2 dropped Apache Solr and shipped Alfresco Search Community, a new search module built on OpenSearch or Elasticsearch. If you run Alfresco Community, that is a mandatory change of engine. If you run Alfresco Enterprise, you have been on the same repository search subsystem since 7.1, so the obvious question is what the Community module gives you and what it does not.
This session walks through what Alfresco Search Community is, its architecture, the repository and batch indexer configuration, its security defaults and how to deploy it. Then it compares it against Alfresco Search Enterprise: one code base, two products, where scaling differs, how content extraction works, which fields and query features are supported, and whether a Community-built index can be handed over to Enterprise.
Demo: deploying Alfresco Search Community in one command, then looking at the indices it creates in OpenSearch Dashboards.
