Alfresco Content Services (ACS) 7.2 consists of a number of products that can be used together:

• Alfresco Content Services 7.2 
• Alfresco Content Connector for AWS S3 5.0 
• Alfresco Digital Workspace 2.7 
• Alfresco Search Services 2.0.3 
• Alfresco Search Enterprise 3.1 
• Alfresco Governance Services 7.2 
• Alfresco Process Services 2.3

Changes to default configuration

 

• From 7.2, Alfresco uses HTTP Secret Header ("secret") as the default communication method between the Alfresco Repository and Search Services
• As the default values in Repository and Search Services have changed from "https" to "secret", configuration properties in these two services must be reviewed before upgrading from Alfresco 6.x, Alfresco 7.0 and Alfresco 7.1
• In addition, Helm Charts and Docker Compose templates must also be reviewed, since the ALFRESCO_SECURE_COMMS environment variable for Search Services images must use "secret" or "https" communication mode

• If you were using mTLS ("https"), no configuration changes are required
• If you were using plain HTTP ("none") and you want to employ mTLS ("https") as part of the upgrade, follow the instructions available in Alfresco Documentation - Install with mTLS
• If you were using plain HTTP ("none") and you want to employ Secret Header ("secret") as part of the upgrade, follow the instructions available in Alfresco Documentation - Install with Secret
