What do I need to edit to theme my DM install?

ben-Nabiy_Derus

I have a couple installs right now, and although I do appreciate the current theme, I want to customize the install to make it a little less recognizable as nuxeo (for the sake of security). Is there a guide which would point me in the right direction?

Do I need to contribute to theme or can I just edit a css file or two somewhere?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,

You can brand your application with Nuxeo Studio, see the documentation about it. It allows you to customize the login page, the logo and colors in the platform, the main font and there is a CSS tab where you can add all your new rules.

If you want to know which styles to override, you can take a look at the Nuxeo UI Style Guide If you plan to move to Nuxeo 5.8 i recommend you to wait the update of the style guide as styles have evolved and new items will be available. The update will be done with the 5.8 LTS release at the end of october.

If you need to customize the plaftorm more deeply i suggest you to create your own bundle (it's what Studio does).

If you want to have an idea of how are working the CSS in the platform you can take a look to the sources files on the github repository. Don't modify them directly: in you have a problem it will be hard to understand where it comes from.
