I would like to run activiti 5.0.rc1 together with Spring 2.5.6. I can't switch to Spring 3.0. Creating org.activiti.spring.ProcessEngineFactoryBean throws a org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException. nested exception is java.lang.reflect.MalformedParameterizedTypeException.

I added the following jars to my Spring 2.5 setup:

Activiti is indeed tested with Spring 3.0+ only.
But looking at the XML, it should be ok.

Apparently this exception occurs when a mixture of spring 3.0 and spring 2.5.6 (or lower) are on your classpath.
