Hi, If i try to upload a file larger than 1MB (i tried with a docx) the upload hangs at 100% for a couple of minutes before finishing. What can cause this problem? I installed Alfresco on a windows server 2012 r2 with the .exe installer so everything's at default.
What version of Alfresco are you using? What browser are you using? Are there any errors being shown in the browser developer console? Are there any errors being shown in the server logs?
5.1 community edition, it happens on every browser, no errors on the browser developer console, no idea where server logs are stored
Is there anything unusual about the files at all? As I'm sure you can imagine this is a fairly common activity (I routinely upload files of more than 1 MB into the Document Library without any issue). Do you have any issues creating content in any other way (i.e. using the "Create Content" menu"). Does it occur on both "drag-and-drop" uploads as well as the standard upload button (that shows the file picker)?
I've had a scan through the JIRA issues related to upload and couldn't see anything that indicated we had a problem on a Community release that was subsequently fixed and I'm fairly confident that if our customers couldn't upload files then we'd have heard about it.
This isn't to suggest that the problem that you're experiencing isn't occurring, just that maybe there is some environmental issue impacting you. Maybe something specific about either the file or the installation (Windows permissions for example?).
This happens with both drag and drop and standard upload. Everything else works fine (except the preview but i made another question for that).
The files upload but they get stuck at 100% for 40-50 seconds minumum, the files are normal docx so i don't think there is anthing unusual about them (i even tried with a docx with only text too and it still happens).
Where can i find the server logs?
There are no errors neither on the browser console and the server logs. The upload works, it just seems to take unnecessarily long when at 100% to close and display the file
