Kindly assist me with step by step integration of fileserver with alfresco. If anyone already done it, kindly explain with an example.
You need to provide a bit more detail as to "how" you want to integrate the fileserver with Alfresco. Do you want to use it to store the files managed in Alfresco, do you want to import/export some files or should Alfresco "just" expose existing files without really touching them?
Thank you Axel for spending time to reply. Regarding your question I actually want to use it to store the files managed in Alfresco. Kindly assist me with step by step integration process.
In that case it usually is pretty simple. Mount the file server as a filesystem into the operating system and configure the dir.root property in alfresco-global.properties to point to that filesystem / mount directory to store Alfresco managed content on the file server.
Thank you Axel. I tried what you have told and when I'm trying to connect alfresco it is saying as "Cannot find alfresco repository". Please find attachment for further reference. Please assist me regarding this issue. I have tried in both mac and windows machine, still facing the same issue.
"simply attach files instead of copying their contents" => attach log files to this thread instead of copying log output from the files into this thread. Otheriwse it will quickly become unbearable to read / follow.
You should not change "dir.root" to point to a different keystore. "dir.root" must always point to where the contentstore is contained in. Simply change "dir.keystore" to use an absolute path or include all the path fragments relative to "dir.root" there.
When you use a custom keystore you will most likely also have to change configuration in the keystore password properties file so the keystore can actually be read. I used "likely" because if you have used identical password and settings for the keystore than that is not the case.
Thanks Axel, will attach logs as files hereafter. So the problem is regarding the key store or some other?. Creating a custom generated keystore and saving the path in the alfresco-global.properties "dir.keystore" will solve the problem?. Also kindly assist me with an example how to include all path fragments relative to "dir.root"?.
