How to assign a task to a particular user based on certain condition

I am trying to assign the approvedTask defined in the XML to a particular user if the metadata property amount > 25000 and assign it to a different user if the amount is <25000 . How to achieve this in activiti workflow ?

I have seen the condition expression though I am not getting how to use it inside this XML so that it can assigned to a particular user ?

Please guide me.

Currently I have a User Task with Candidate users as [admin,user] and Candidate groups as [admingroup,usergroup].
How do I set the Task so that if an admin starts a process which uses a UserTask, it only goes into the 'admingroup', and if a user starts a process, it only goes into the 'usergroup'?

I recommend Service task.
In the service task, you can write custom java code determine the candidate group using variable.
