Hi folks,

I searched the forum, read the docs but found nothing about this. Alfresco-4.2.c, at share login screen there is no language selection drop-down. I tried google-chrome, firefox, internet explorer, linux, windows to no avail. What else do i have to set to make language selection list visible. Thanks.

web-client-config.xml is as follows (i restarted alfresco services after editing this file)

<!– Language selection from login dialog - if false then the language will be selected –>
         <!– from the client browser locale and the language drop-down will not be displayed –>
         <language-select>true</language-select>

….

<config evaluator="string-compare" condition="Languages" replace="true">
      <!– the list of available language files –>
      <languages>
         <language locale="en_US">English</language>
         <language locale="de_DE">German</language>
         <language locale="es_ES">Spanish</language>
         <language locale="fr_FR">French</language>
         <language locale="it_IT">Italian</language>
         <language locale="ja_JP">Japanese</language>
         <language locale="nl_NL">Dutch</language>
         <language locale="ru_RU">Russian</language>
         <language locale="zh_CN">Chinese (Simplified)</language>
      </languages>
   </config>

The option to select a locale was available on the Explorer client but not the Share client. Locale is automatically detected on Share.
