configuring alfresco with external postgres database

Hi,

I have installed alfresco 4.0 with the default postgres database that comes with alfresco 4.

Now, I want to use the exeternal postgres database and not the one which comes with alfresco.

Could anyone please help me get this done what are the steps I should follow.

Hello,

provided your external database is correctly set up (network access, user + schema + tablespace for Alfresco), you only need to update the PostgreSQL-specific db.url property in alfresco-global.properties (host and maybe port) to have Alfresco talk with an external PostgreSQL database.
