contentstore.deleted files not deleting

kamal1387

We have deleted some files from alfresco community 3.4 ,
The files have moved to contentstore.deleted folder , but when will they get deleted from that folder?

Also the alf_node has those nodes with node_delete property as true , when will those rows get removed ?

Files in contentstore.deleted stay there until you delete them manually.
For Linux you can use

find /opt/alfresco/alf_data/contentstore.deleted -mtime +30 -name '*bin' |xargs rm
find /opt/alfresco/alf_data/contentstore.deleted -type d -empty |xargs rm‍‍

Change +30 to the number of days you want to keep docs as an extra safety measure.
Folders will be deleted when empty. That means that parent folders will not be deleted until there is no child folders. Each run will eventually completely remove folder.
Make this a script and rund with cron.

If you for some odd reason run windows

you will have to create a bat or power shell file for the same task.
