I'm not following what you are asking. The "Alfresco" and "AVM" folders are the highest level mount point. If you cd into Alfresco you'll see User Homes. If you cd into that you'll see all of the user home folders that you have access to see.

Hi Jpotts,

I am using ftp client login to see alfresco folders and files, i have created one user in alfresco say "abc".
when i am logging to ftp for user "abc" it is displaying me root folder as alfresco and other folders inside that.

but i want whenever i am logging in to ftp i want to see "Sites" folder as the root folder. how to achieve that.

i tried to change the root path in file-servers.xml
as
<root path>/app:company_home/st:sites</root path>

but did not work.

Take a look at the 3.4 docs for configuring FTP. You have to create a file called custom-file-servers-context.xml in $TOMCAT_HOME/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/subsystems/fileServers/default/default/. Copy the out-of-the-box ftpServerConfig bean into that file, then to the bean add:

<property name="rootDirectory">
    <value>/Alfresco/Sites</value>
</property>‍‍‍

Then restart, connect, and when you do an ls, you'll see the contents of your Sites directory.

Hi jpotts,

I checked inside Alfresco folder the other folders you have mentioned does not exist inside the Alfresco
i can see the folders up to C:\Alfresco\tomcat\shared\classes\alfresco\extension

after that there are other folders but no such folders exist with the names as you mentioned in the path:
$TOMCAT_HOME/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/subsystems/fileServers/default/default/

Do i have to create that folders

and as you mentioned Copy the out-of-the-box ftpServerConfig bean into that file:

from where i have to copy this ftpServerConfig bean.

Please clarify.

Thanks

jpotts

Yes, you have to create those folders.

The bean lives in $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/alfresco/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/subsystems/fileServers/default/file-servers-context.xml.

You can find it by doing a search on the exploded Alfresco webapp folder. Searching the Alfresco webapp for things like this is something you'll need to do often.
