Hi All,

I am trying to create a dashlet in Alfreso share. I am using Alfresco 3.4 version.

The dashlet which i am trying to create, it should be visible to only admin user, no other user can see that dashlet.

I can set it in preset.xml so that it will be available to user-dashboard but other use can customize their dashboard and add/remove dashlet, which i dont want.

Any pointer or help is really appreciated.

i dont know the answer for sure. i just had an idea for ya.

for our custom dashlets we made in Alfresco 3.4.5 we made some webscript style *.desc.xml description files. i think a dashlet is technically a "presentation webscript"

i did notice that the webscript description files support authentication.

maybe give that a whirl and see if the Share UI will filter out dashlets that the user isnt authenticated to use.
