Direct link to Full Metadata Edit Page

Hi,

I'm looking to redirect the "Edit Metadata" link in the document library to the "Full Metadata Edit Page" so that it bypasses the intermediate popup page.

It looks like this works like I want it to if you click Edit Metadata on the document details page - but not from the initial document list.

Can anyone point me in the right direction here?

Look at this file: YOU_ALF_INSTALL_DIR/tomcat/webapps/share/components/documentlibrary/actions.js
There should be a function named: onActionDetail and you can disable the popup there I think.

I'm not 100% sure this is the right answer (I'm in a hurry)!

If it won't work look at Records Management module code I think they have direct link to full edit metadata page…

Hi, Simply follow these steps:

NOTE! This is how to do it on a 3.x server. For a 4.x server look at this blog post: http://blogs.alfresco.com/wp/mikeh/2011/09/26/share-document-library-extensions-in-v4-0/

1. Override the document list component's config by copying the source:
{TOMCAT}/webapps/share/WEB-INF/classes/alfresco/site-webscripts/org/alfresco/components/documentlibrary/documentlist.get.config.xml
to:
{TOMCAT}/shared/classes/alfresco/web-extension/site-webscripts/org/alfresco/components/documentlibrary/documentlist.get.config.xml

2. Modify

<documentList>
   <actionSets>
      <actionSet id="document">
         …
         <action type="action-link" id="onActionManagePermissions" permission="permissions" label="actions.document.manage-permissions" />
‍‍‍‍‍‍

to:

<documentList>
   <actionSets>
      <actionSet id="document">
         …
         <action type="simple-link" id="onActionManagePermissions" permission="permissions" href="{managePermissionsUrl}" label="actions.document.manage-permissions" />

3. Restart your server and visit the document library.
