Removing language option in login

I wanted to set the language to us_en by default and remove the language selection permanently from login.jsp.

How can this be configured?

You can just remove the language selection box on the <tomcat>/tomcat/webapps/alfresco/jsp/login.jsp page.
Lines to remove:

<td>
<%– language selection drop-down –%>
<h:selectOneMenu value="#{LoginBean.language}" style="width:150px" onchange="document.forms['loginForm'].submit(); return true;">
<f:selectItems value="#{LoginBean.languages}" />
</h:selectOneMenu>
</td>‍‍‍‍‍‍

Note: it's better to override this page instead of changing it directly.

Actually I tried doing it this way only as the default language is us_en.

But I get a very odd error "Conversion error" and an exception. The login process does not go through.

Is there any other way to do it? I am using 1.21 version.

I think that you have to set the locale using jave like :

bLocale = new Locale("en", "US");
