Simple install - Lots of errors in the log

I installed 4.0.d on a mac running Lion 10.7.3

I logged in as the admin account. I uploaded a ppt file. I deleted the file. I uploaded a pptx file.

What do the errors mean in my log file?

So WCMQS was working earlier and failed to start after you have uploaded the pptx file :?:
In logs it was showing error related to conversion of pptx doc to other compatible format for Alfresco.
have you explicitly tried to convert the document?

The point of the post in not that WCM won't run, but that there are a ton of log errors after a simple install. I was able to perform some basic functions so I am not clear if anything is failing from a user point of view. I did not test WCM at all. Clearly the system sees a problem so there must be something wrong.

My main issue is the errors with SOLR in general. Here is one that is not WCM related.
