Support for Internet URL

It seems that Alfresco does not support inserting an Internet URL (a bookmark) in its repository.
I'd like to add this feature, also having the URL full indexed.
Can you suggest an entry point (class to extend or API to use) for developing such a feature?

Is such a feature compatible with Alfresco roadmap?

Assuming I understood your question correctly, you might want to consider creating a custom aspect, say custom:bookmarkable. That aspect will add a single property named URL of type d:text, and make it indexed for search. You can then make content items bookmarkable and set that meta-data field as required.

If you don't have actual content, and only care about the URL, then you can create a new type that doesn't have a d:content property. Instead, it inherits from cmbject and defines the URL property mentioned above.
