WebScript Description File Tags(Attributes)' Possible Values

Dear All,

While writing WebScript, want to know some thing more about Description files Tags (Attribute).

  <shortname>Custom Name</shortname>
  <description>Custom message</description>
  <url>Your Path</url>
  <format default="json">argument</format>
  <authentication>user</authentication>
  <transaction allow="readwrite">required</transaction>
</webscript>

Now in above code

For
1)Format tag there are three response ::HTML, ATOM, XML, RSS, JSON, CSV (Is Excel allowed or can we extend it ?)
2) <format>argument/extension </format> :: What all the possible values ??
2) Authentication ::user,guest,admin
3)Transaction allow == "PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ALL ARE VALUES AND ITS IMPACT"
4)  <transaction …> PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ALL THE POSSIBLE VALUES HERE {Apart from required}</transaction >

And also guide me what all the possible impact of those different values.
