Getting search to work in Share

haffi67

Hi,

I'm using Alfresco 4.0d on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I've set up a site with a document library (which includes only one document at the moment). When I try the search for that document by putting in queries linked to the name or the metadata of the document I get no results and no error message. When I try the search in the Alfresco web client I get an error:

Search failed due to system error:02268799 Request failed 401 /solr/alfresco/alfresco?q=[…]‍

Is there anything I need to do to initialize the search before using it?

If you used the binary installer, everything should work. If you used any other method, you have to make sure the solr WAR is deployed and you have to set up the SSL certificates. The docs site has a pretty good description of this process.
