Search word in pdf and PREVIEW

ugo_ribecai

Hi Gurus,
my customer have done this request.

In advanced search we find the document (pdf for example) thats contain
the word used for the search. BUT my customer needs also to "VIEW"
where this keyword is inside the file!

My customer would "open" the pdf in "preview mode" and see immediatly
the part of the document where is the keyword.

It's possibile? Have you done some implementation like this?

thanks

Ugo

This is a feature we could look at for v3.3, as one of our engineers is already looking into possibilities around this area.

Thanks,
Mike

thanks for your answer…

this means that this feature is not native inside alfresco now, right?

so I need to develop a customization in java… do you know a library open source
for open a pdf and search a word inside it? I've found http://www.jpedal.org/

thanks

I should also be clear, that this will be implemented in Share, not the Explorer client.

Sorry, I have no experience with such libraries.

Thanks,
Mike
