People search with wild card (*)?

Currently The people search in Share requires 1 characters in order to search. I would like to default to be to display all people assuming *. Is there a wild card that works? If not what code can I modify to change the people finder behavior? I am running Enterprise 3.2r.

Take a look in web-framework-config-application.xml:

  <config evaluator="string-compare" condition="Search" replace="true">
      <search>
         <!– default minimum length for search terms –>
         <min-search-term-length>1</min-search-term-length>
         <!– default maximum number of results for a search –>
         <max-search-results>100</max-search-results>
      </search>
   </config>

Change min-search-term-length to 0.
