Hi,

   I have tested Alfresco a few days ago on a Windows XP machine using the stack installer (Community Edition Version 3.2), and it worked for me. I would now like to know if it is possible for me to run two instances of Alfresco at the same time.

   Is this possible? Any ideas what I need to change and in which files?

   I am sure I have to change the port numbers of MySQL and Tomcat. I think that the paths are relative to %ALF_HOME% which is set using %~dp0 – so should I bother with them? Any ideas on the CIFS/SMB server? How do I handle that?

- don't need to change MySQL port. You can have one MySQL install. You need to have 2 different databases, and then change DB access in your custom-repository.properties
- you need to have different repository locations => then, change dir.root in custom-repository.properties
- you need to have different tomcat, and pointing at different port, like 8080 and 8082
- you'll need to change a few other ports like RMI services… but the config has changed a lot since version 3.2, and I'm using this very version, so I cannot help you more
