Java based realtime filesync for Alfresco (Dropbox type)

rhlie

Hi,

We are currently finishing up a java based sync solution (it uses real time notification libraries and webservices to sync local and alfresco folders).

I am sure that others have been wanting this feature so we figured we should put it up for public use and development.

Where would be the best place to put this? SF.net, alfrescoforge or our own servers?

(Admins, please let me know if this should be posted somewhere else)

Hi Runar,

Cool application! I recommend you to add your project to our Alfresco Forge.

I am very interested too!
I could contribute to this project.

rhlie, is the source code somewhere?
I can handle the project setup/upload if you have no time to do it.

Loking forward to this promising tool!

Hi Nicolas and others,

We have not been active on this project for a while but one of our interns have been working on the project again for a few weeks now. We have create a project on SourceForge that you can follow. We will appreciate any support we can get.

The project can be found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/alfrescodesktop/

Cheers,

Mikkel

Hi Mikkel,

Great!
The code is in "trunk alfrescodesktop-code", so it can be checkout out with this comand:

svn checkout "svn://svn.code.sf.net/p/alfrescodesktop/code/trunk alfrescodesktop-code" alfrescodesktop-code‍

If I have understood well, it is a Java AWT desktop application that communicates with Alfresco by SOAP.

Thanks a lot, keep up the good work 🙂

Hello

You mentioned a mac version. Is it still in development?
On sourceforge I've found the windows Version only 😞

All the best
