Hi,

Is there a way I can get a list of all roles returned through the Javascript API or Java API? 

To clarify, the roles include Coordinator, Collaborator, Contributor, Editor, Consumer.  I would like to be able to retrieve this list(along with any other roles I've created myself).

Found the solution.

In 3.2, I can call the permission service and retrieve all settable permissions for a node (From Java Doc API: http://dev.alfresco.com/resource/docs/java/repository/org/alfresco/repo/security/permissions/impl/PermissionServiceImpl.html)

    Set<String> permissions = new HashSet<String>();

    permissions.addAll(serviceRegistry.getPermissionService().getSettablePermissions(nodeRef));‍‍‍
