How to Process one thread at time in asynchronous activiti BPM

Hi
I am running activiti BPM, all the steps in the activiti BPM are asynchronous. Process is consuming more than one data.steps are excecuting in parallel because of asynchronous. I wanted to consume one after the other. Is there any flag to set to achieve this ?
Please help as soon as possible.Thanks in advance.
