Hi Mike,
Thanks for ur reply…. but in that url what ever u mentioned i'm getting only .exe setup file….
What exactly i want is i want all the java/jsp files and i can setup those files in my local eclipse and then i want to run as a normal application in my local machine. So that i can understand the workflow to customise the alfresco…
So please provide the exact url to download it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Have a look into this:
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Alfresco_SVN_Development_Environment

You can take the source code from SVN
http://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-open-mirror/alfresco/HEAD

And you can have a look into following wiki for web client customization:

http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Web_Client_Customisation_Guide
http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Customising_An_Alfresco_JSP

Thanks

Hi kayan,
thanks for ur reply …
Actually what i'm looking for is i'm using alfresco 2.9B… I need the appropriate source code.
By searching some forums i got the appropriate SVN revision is 1374 …
But while searching the link which u provided i'm not able to find it.

my environment is Windows+eclipse.
i'm following the http://wiki.alfresco.com/wiki/Alfresco_on_Eclipse for configuring the svn repository of alfresco with eclipse. But in that they specified svn://svn.alfresco.com this url for svn checkout. while trying with this url i'm getting the error like the "appropriate folder is not existing"…. so plz suggest me the svn repository link for alfresco 2.9B

thanks in advance,

To checkout that specific svn revision, use: svn co -r1374 svn://svn.alfresco.com/alfresco/HEAD

Sorry mike,
still facing the "Folder does not existing " problem.
what i have done is,
I have taken a new project in eclipse the selected the svn project and choose the checkout projects from svn.
after that i have selected "create new repository location" after that it takes me to enter url.
in the url space i have given the following url.
svn://svn.alfresco.com/alfresco/HEAD

then i'm getting the following error like,
Error validating the location…….
No connection could be made because the taget machine actively refused it.
svn:can't connect to host "svn.alfresco.com"

plz check this ones….

thanks again,
regards,
Alfresco User.

Just tested it from here and it's working ok. Which svn plugin are you using?

Your other option is to use svn from the command line - which O/S do you have for development?

Check you're not trying to checkout the source to a folder which has a space somewhere in it's path, e.g. "Document and Settings".

Still showing the error "Folder does not exist remotely"

I can confirm it works here, plus we'd definitely hear if others had issues, therefore check your network connections, firewall, etc.

My only other suggestion is to get the command-line version of svn or an app like TortoiseSVN and try with that instead.

Has this issue been resolved yet. I have exactly the same problem and I can't seem to get past this.
I have also tried silksvn for the command line, but i get "could not connect to server <http://svn.alfresco.com>"

The network connection doesn't seem to be a problem through eclipse as I am able to download plugins through eclipse.

mrogers

There wasn't a problem in January and there's no problem now.

gyro_gearless

But i suppose the URL has changed somewhat?

At least for me http://svn.alfresco.com/repos/alfresco-open-mirror/alfresco/HEAD works best 🙂

Also users in large company networks maybe have to configure their proxy settings to reach outside subversion servers….

If you can't use SVN to get the source code you can also get it from the SDK which your can download from the wiki.

Hi all,
i have this version of Alfresco (version.properties). How i can downlod the source code (i don't know the relative SVN tag or version or what else)?

#
# Alfresco version information
#
# Version label
version.major=3
version.minor=2
version.revision=0
version.label=r2
# Edition label
version.edition=Community
# Build number
version.build=2440
# Schema number
version.schema=3300

mrogers

Look at the release note for the build. In this case the revision is 17458.

Or you can use the SDK.
