Full repository import - version history missing

I was trying to to do a full repository import using the bootstrap method. everything seems to have gone fine except for the warnings below (a lot of them). But when I run the instance I see that lot of the documents have their version history missing. Any ideas what might have gone wrong.

50,980 WARN [org.hibernate.cache.ReadWriteCache] An item was expired by the cache while it was locked (increase your cache timeout): org.alfresco.repo.domain.hibernate.NodeImpl#21

Was able to remove the warnings by changing parameters in the ecache-default.xml file. But still do not get the version history of the content. Any ideas. Otherwise how else can I replicate alfresco repository.

Found out that the problem actually is with the export of the version store. More than half of the version data is missing. Any ideas what might be the cause, no errors messages are displayed though during the export. Anybody has any idea how to get around this problem. I have used the export utility and the full repository export and its the same thing each time. Any ideas shared is appreciated.

BTW, i am doing this on 2.1.2E
