I'm trying out the 3.0 labs version of Alfresco, and trying to test out email archiving. I've installed the AMP file into the ROOT.war file:
# java -jar /srv/Alfresco/bin/alfresco-mmt.jar list /srv/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/ROOT.war
Module 'org.alfresco.module.RecordsManagement' installed in '/srv/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/ROOT.war'
- Title: Records Management
- Version: 1.3
- Install Date: Wed Sep 24 16:30:54 MDT 2008
- Desription: Alfresco Record Management Extension
Module 'org.alfresco.module.vti' installed in '/srv/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/ROOT.war'
- Title: Vti
- Version: 1.0
- Install Date: Wed Sep 24 16:31:30 MDT 2008
- Desription: Alfresco Vti Extension
Module 'emailextension' installed in '/srv/Alfresco/tomcat/webapps/ROOT.war'
- Title: Alfresco Email Extension
- Version: 2.3
- Install Date: Mon Sep 29 11:57:38 MDT 2008
- Desription: RFC 822 email extension
I then configured the smtp server as such:
# cat /srv/Alfresco/tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/custom-email-server.properties
#
# Alfresco Email Service and Email Server
#
# Enable/Disable the inbound email service. The service could be used by processes other than
# the Email Server (e.g. direct RMI access) so this flag is independent of the Email Service.
email.inbound.enabled=true
# The username to authenticate as when the sender address is not recognised
email.inbound.unknownUser=mailbot
# Email Server properties
email.server.enabled=true
email.server.port=25
email.server.domain=alfresco.co.dac.int
#
# A comma separated list of email REGEX patterns of allowed senders.
# If there are any values in the list then all sender email addresses
# must match. For example:
# .*\@alfresco\.com, .*\@alfresco\.org
# Allow anyone:
email.server.allowed.senders=.*
#
# A comma separated list of email REGEX patterns of blocked senders.
# If the sender email address matches this then the message will be rejected.
# For example:
# .*\@hotmail\.com, .*\@googlemail\.com
#email.server.blocked.senders=
So far so good. Next I created the 'mailbot' user and added it to the 'EMAIL_CONTRIBUTORS' group:Then created a 'mail' folder in 'My Home' and attached an email alias to it:So from all this, I thought I got everything. But I send an email to geofa@alfresco.co.dac.int, and I get the following response:
Final-Recipient: rfc822;geofa@alfresco.co.dac.int
Action: failed
Status: 5.5.0
Diagnostic-Code: smtp;554 The email address 'geofa@alfresco.co.dac.int' does not reference a valid accessible node.
Did I miss anything obvious? Or less than obvious?Geof
