Maybe we should open a new forum just for JCR

On that topic, 
In the JCR/alfresco transaction space I found a new place where we need some JCR - alfresco transaction integration.  on Session.save() we check for an alfresco transaction which is not present (since a JCR user has no way to open an alfresco transaction).

I know there is a lot of work going on concerning JCR and transactions etc so this may be a mute point.

Changes have been made recently to the Alfresco JCR Session/transaction integration.  In order to comply more closely with the specification, it is now possible for a client to use the JCR API without explicit client transaction demarcation.  The examples have been updated to reflect this change.

As for opening up a JCR forum, I think that's a good idea.  I'll see if we can push that through.
