Strange virtual server log messages

I have a web project set up as a template website for at least 2 other web projects. In the virtual server log, I'm seeing the following message every 8 seconds

Version 10 of the web project is the last version before the first templated web project was created. The version history for the project looks as follows (irrelevant columns removed)

Is there some way to mark a web project to be NOT virtualised at all? There's no reason for it to be active.

Another thing I've noticed… in the Alfresco log, I'm getting the following output every 16 seconds.

10:40:59,734 ERROR [alfresco.linkvalidation.LinkValidationServiceImpl] Could not list version: 10 of directory: vehicletemplate:/www/avm_webapps/ROOT/nav  Path /www/avm_webapps/ROOT/nav not found.

That path doesn't exist because I've deleted it in version 30 of the webapp. Also, I've never actually run the "link validation" over this website, so I have no idea why the linkvalidation service is trying to run?
