LDAP synchronization issue

Hi, I'm getting a fatal error on startup when I establish a cron trigger for people/group imports in the ldap-synchronisation.properties:

If I set the people/group cron expressions to never import, Alfresco starts up and users are able to login. However, users that have recently been added to the LDAP database are not recognized. The LDAP attributes appear to be correct. Does anyone have a solution to this?
