Problem configuration and Use JCR

Hello everyone,
I am a new user alfresco and I am trying to configure it with databases postgres.
I managed to make the first installation using jboss + postgres and everything works, it starts and web interface I can to use Alfresco.
Now I should use JCR to create my API to be able to interact directly with code Alfresco … but from what I understand there are not files to configure (at least I think).
The problem is that when launching the example FirstJCRClient me the following error below:
I noticed that I have it fails to open a connection to hibernate and which seeks to use the database mysql …. but I tried to control all the configuration files and does not seem to have left no configuration on mysql.
How can I do to solve the problem?
How can I do step by step to run JCR with alfresco?

Regarding the second problem that you were having:
While you are running the JCR samples, you should not have the Alfresco server running. The sample runs an embedded server on its own and conflicts with the port. So, shutdown the Alfresco server before you run the JCR sample. Also, some utility like "CurrPorts" is helpful in identifying which process is using that specific port.
