How to checkout/checkin a file using webservices

Hi,
  I am a newbie and i am having some problems while checkinout the file using alfresco webservices. I could able to checkout the file (working copy) to a Space. Now i want to download that file to my local machine. So how can i get the the complete path for the checked-out working copy. I got the working copy reference
Reference workingCopy = result.getWorkingCopies()[0];

And the path that i got from this reference is (workingCopy.getPath()) :
/app:company_home/Version-Test_x0020__x0028_Working_x0020_Copy_x0029_.txt
But this is not complete absoluate path to download the file.

So how can i download the checked-out file from a space to my local machine?
