Writting Email Templates

I currently have alfresco configured to send emails notifications when a file has been uploaded to a customers space. I would like the emails to include the file name, author, description, file size etc. How do I go about writing the code in the template to pull this information from the uploaded file?

You have to modify or add a new email template in Company Home/Data Dictionary/Email template space.
To have information about usage of template model and language, refer to Template guide wiki and FreeMarker manual

But what after adding new templates to repo.
I need to reload alfresco ?
Or there is any magic which can reload only templates on working alfresco service ?
