Slow Alfresco server.

I have Alfresco installed on a ProLiant DL360 G3 2.8Ghz/3GB RAM with Alfresco-Community-2.1R1-Linux-x86-Install.
First of all, it takes more than 9 min to start Alfresco and when I tried to copy over my files it takes very long time. It goes much faster when I copy to another workstation then to Alfresco. I copy the files with Windows Explorer.
Have I setup the server configs wrong or do you think it is the server specs? Not a easy question for you to answere but I hope you will try.

This is Tomcat deploying the Alfresco webapp.
You could enable some extra debug log to see what is going on in this time period.
Also, if file copying is taking a long time then it could be your disk that is causing the bottleneck.

One thing you could try is to reduce the memory consumption of Alfresco since it is set to 2465.188MB according to your log. Try 1GB and see if that makes any difference (it might be that it has consumed all you system resources).

That is a bizarely long amount of time. I'm wondering if it's a log4j issue - i.e. do you have a setting of DEBUG or TRACE on in your Tomcat log4j.properties file? We've seen this problem before if it's JBoss (which has a crazy debug of DEBUG that generates a 1GB+ log file on startup!!) but not int TomCat i think.

I installed Alfresco with postgresql instead of the bundle sql and it starts within 30 secs.
I copy over all my files from my fileserver to Alfresco and I get these messages in my log, do you have any ideas what it means?
