Can't get past the dir root error - release 2.1 & Oracle

Logs below show error.

I've tried redoing things as mentioned in many hits, but no luck.

As shown below the index does get rebuilt so what is triggering the error.
I tried a clean database but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

Hi,

What's in the c:\alf folder? Does it look anything like:

audit.contentstore
backup-lucene-indexes
contentstore
contentstore.deleted
lucene-indexes
‍‍‍‍‍‍

If not, find the folder that does contain those subfolders and set the dir.root property to point to it.

And if I delete then and they do get rebuilt so Alfresco is using the right location. Seems like the Oracle data base doesn't match. I did check and the tables did get created ok so that part seems good so message is confusing.
Perhaps Oracle10 is the issue?

This error usually happens if there's an old schema lying around.

After you delete the c:\alf folder, you should remove and recreate the alfresco database (make sure ALL the tables have gone - that's why I suggest recreating the database) and restart.
