XMP Support (missing classes)

I have been trying to install XMP support in Alfresco 2.1 on Windows platform within Tomcat. When catalina loads the bean configurations I get exceptions stating that the GenericMetadataEmbedder class was not found.

This is an Alfresco class. I expanded the jar file in the XMP support library and sure enough there are classes missing. I have the base XMP support jar from Adobe installed.

Calatina is complaining about missing classes within the Alfresco tree.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have the same error after installing XML Metadata Extension; when I start alfresco, the message in the log is:

Could not resolve parent bean definition 'baseMetadataEmbedder'‍
