Hi,

I have tried looking for a definite answer for this in a couple of forums but to no avail. When trying to deploy the alfresco 2 war in the tomcat server on a linux machine i get the following error. Can somebody please tell me how to solve it.

This is a common problem mentioned often on the forums. When creating a fresh alfresco DB schema, you also need to clean out (delete) the alf_data directory (in tomcat/bin or jboss/bin). If you clean out that dir and create a fresh DB schema it should work.

I have modified the configuration to use MySQL instead of the default, cleared the alf_data directory, restarted Alfresco and still have the same result.

If there's some Alfresco minds about, may I suggest a real important feature to include in your business marketing plan - get an up to date VMware Virtual Image out there before you launch the PR machine, so people can quickly get the look and feel of the product, before having to deal with the vagaries of tomcat - java - etc.

I've just lost a customer for Alfresco, and a weeks work trying to get the darn thing to go on a fresh and clean install of Centos ( not an uncommon linux distribution! ). All the docs indicate it should just work out of the box - and I would expect that too - but the rather obscure and obfuscated logs from the system do not help anyone but a (I presume) tomcat expert .

I like the look of this product, but I'm getting jittery ….. and this is just the evaluation phase…

Hi guys,
Im also trying to run Alfresco Enterprise 3.1 with jboss 4.2.3 GA on Centos but im getting same Exceptions.
I have tried to create fresh DB schema but still so many exceptions.
PLEASE IF ANYONE HAVE FOUND SOLUTION PLEASEEEE LET ME KNOW!
